The "G Tube" was placed in mom's stomach smoothly this afternoon. It has started draining fluid form mom's stomach. That should help her condition a little bit.

Her doctors had a big meeting on her case this morning. They decided to hold the placement of the 'J Tube' (to small intestine) for maybe another week. They just want to make sure the 'G Tube' would function as they expect.

Base on this plan, they think they are able to send mom home in the next couple days and order her in-home health care to get her the nutrition IV. We all think she will have a quicker recovery at home. But at the same time, we still have to go through a lot of details on how to take care of her at home. She will need to go back to the hospital next week for the follow up visit and possibly the 'J Tube' placement.

Physical Therapist visited and exam mom in the hospital today. Mom has regained the needed physical strength to move around. That is another key to her release. Even she has yet to receive the chemotherapy, but all these steps are very important to get her ready for the treatment. So we learn to be patience.

We should know more about her release from the hospital by tomorrow.
