Mom visited her oncologist today, and was not admitted into the hospital. :-) Praise the Lord!
Physically, mom is pretty stable now. Her kidney function and liver function are getting back to normal now. Blood cell count is not too low, so no further blood transfusion is needed. Most of side effects from her chemo are pretty much gone by now. She is also getting her strength back to the level as prior her chemo and last week's hospital stay.
But her oncologist asked her a million-dollar question: "Do you want to continue the chemo?" She has some hesitation though.
From what she has gone through in the last couple months, I cannot blame her for her frustration and feeling down. But I guess we all can see that mom's spiritual strength is equally importantly in this cancer fighting.
We have to continue encouraging her and lift up her. I believe many prayer and caring support for her will carry her and us through this. I thank Lord and you for that!
She will resume the 2nd round of chemo next Tuesday. From what we learned in the first round, we feel more comfortable in taking care of her and should be better prepared then.
