Mom's 2nd chemotherapy was postponed since last Tuesday. Since then, her doctor has ordered some medical means and try to correct the problem. But she started to vomit badly again last Friday. It got to a point that we had to take her to the ER of Edward Hospital (a local one) on Friday evening. Mom was admitted into the hospital since then until this afternoon. In the last three days, the doctors from Edward Hospital continued to help her physical condition, and did some tests.
So by now, we learned that the side effect from her first chemo is actually still affecting her. Mom is physically weaker because of that. But on the other hand, we also learned that the chemo seems to work on her cancer too.
Mom will see her Oncologist on Tuesday. They will evaluated her again and see if she is ready for the 2nd chemo.
Mentally and spiritually, mom has been affected by her physical condition. Her frustration also starts to affect her care givers. I think only the people who experienced the cancer fighting process would understand how tough it is. We are pushed to our limit physically, mentally, and spiritually. We just have to keep encouraging each other and continue this fight with mom.
