Mom's condition has been staying almost the same until yesterday (Friday).
Yesterday, I bought a inflatable basin which can be used to wash mom's hairs while she is lying on the bed. It has been more than a month since we were able to wash her hairs. Yunting and sister washed mom's hairs and blow dried it. It was nice to see her hairs clean and fluffy again!
Last night, mom started to felt breathing difficulty and pain from her belly which is the first time she ever complains. We had to give her morphine which can help both symptoms. Mom wanted to sit on the chair for a while and did not really want to go back to bed. After she went back to bed later, she told us with her very soft voice that it is about her time to leave. We started to call all the family members to be with her. She hugged us!
I asked Rev. Hua to see her and pray with her. Mom is still responsive when Mrs. Hua read mom some Bible verses and Rev. Hua's prayers for her before she fell into the deep sleep probably due to the medication.
For those who can stay at our place, we all slept and stayed around her through out the night and prepared for the moment to come. We stayed at her bed side and held her hands.
Mom continues to sleep most of time today. A nurse visited her in the afternoon. Mom's lung is still clear, heart rate is getting slower. But her blood pressure is much much lower than normal. From the nurse's experience, mom is probably in the stage of leaving us - it could happen soon or any time now.
Even we have been preparing for this moment in the last three weeks, it is still very hard to know that the moment is about to come! Mom can still hear. All we want to tell her is we lover her and thank her for her caring for us.
Mom is leaving us.
