While mom's cancer fighting is about to come to an end, I have to say this 4-month journey is an experience I will never forget.
Sister, brother, and I are mom's three children, and we are able to stay with mom as much as we can. But mom's caregiver group is not just we three. Yunting is actual an important part of it. She has been a tremendous support to mom, to me, and to the family during this period of time. In order to care for mom, she decided to quit her part time job so she can stay home more with mom. From taking care mom's daily tube feeding then and IV change now, helping mom using bed pan and cleaning her up afterward, giving mom medication, and almost everything else we do for mom (includes taking turns with us for overnight shifts). Yunting usually needs to fill the gap of our schedule in caring for mom. Mom has relied Yunting more than me. Recently we found that Yunting can even help mom getting up from bed, and lift mom to the chair on her own! I don't know how she can it.
On top of these, she is also in charge of preparing all the meals, taking care of Faith and Hope, handling her music classes needs and even listening to me when I am down. I don't think I can ever list everything she did for mom and for me. But I know mom appreciates her very much for what she did!
For those who know Yunting, we all know she is very gifted in music. But during this difficult time in the family, God helps me see her as a beautiful woman not just from the appearing (as usual :-) ), but also from her love and cares to her mom-in-law and the rest of the family. Mom and Yunting were invited to share their testimonies about in-law relationship at a fellowship group in August. But it did not happen due to mom's condition. I wasn't able to hear what they were to share in words. But I have witnessed a beautiful testimony in their relationship, especially in Yunting's care for my mom. Thank you - Yunting!
